Family/Accompanying Visa

The Student's Pass Holder Dependent Pass/Long Term Visit Pass is a long-term residence permit provided to the immediate family members of underage international students. For international students under the age of 16 (which may be extended to 21 in some cases) holding a student pass, their immediate family members (usually their mother, grandmother, or great grandmother) are allowed to legally reside and accompany them in Singapore.

Documents Required

① Main applicant documents: Copy of student pass, proof of school enrollment, passport

② Family documents: passport, birth certificate/marriage certificate (to be notarized and translated), recent ID photo

③ Financial proof: Proof of bank deposit from the main applicant or guarantor is required (usually recommended to be over SGD 30000)


Remarks

① Student pass holders are required to attend government schools, international schools, or higher education institutions in Singapore (private schools must meet specific conditions)

② Some schools require students to be under 18 years old before their family members can apply for DP

③ After approval, family members need to enter Singapore to apply for a DP card (with a medical examination report required)

④ The validity period of DP is the same as that of the student pass, and it needs to be renewed simultaneously
